the IPad Air 2 will be even thinner

iPad Air 2 rumours have taken somewhat of a back seat in recent months as the world focused on the iPhone 6.
However, with components for the iPad Air 2 now in production (hardly surprising given it’s likely November launch date), we’re now getting a glimpse of what to expect.
And what can you expect? Well, apparently it’ll be even thinner than the iPad Air, but if you’re expecting an increase in size or screen resolution, you’re going to be disappointed.
According to the sometimes unreliable Digitimes, the thinner frame will be joined with an ‘enhanced processor’ – widely believed to be Apple’s A8 chip.
Finally, the other rumour ‘confirmed’ by Digitimes is that the new iPad will be getting a TouchID scanner – hardly a surprise really.
Other tweaks rumoured to be incoming are some minor changes to the volume and lock buttons. Though the changes won’t be drastic – it’s expected to have largely the same fit as the original iPad Air.
Finally, the iPad Air 2 is also expected to come with an 8MP rear camera – up from the 5MP snapper found in the current iPad Air.
Apple is widely expected to unveil the iPhone 6 on September 9th (next Tuesday). If it follows the same launch pattern as last year, we can expect that phone to land on September 19th.
That should mean the iPad Air 2 will likely be unveiled around October 21st, with it arriving on November 1st.
